oh my goodness gracious.

Photobucket

i stumbled across a link for this photographer's site on a friend's blog. this post kills me! why didn't my mom sew me a life-size yellow rain coat & hat to match my molly doll's? awesome. what do you say, lindsay? shall we dress up as molly & addy for next year's family christmas card??

speaking of molly, i got her out a couple of weeks ago to show my niece. she got an american girl doll for christmas. {can you believe they are still making them?} i'm pretty sure i scored at least 100 cool points with her when i whipped out my doll. she was all excited and wanted me to read the books to her. sadly i only ever had one book, and it is long lost. but never fear, i found a 5 book set at the book garden for $4.50. now i can pass molly on to serena when she's old enough :)

which was your favorite american girl doll?

oh my heck another reason why we are bff's i totally had a molly doll too! i was obsessed! did your's get like rats nest snarls in the hair? I never got the special brush you are suppose to have to brush it so that could be why...? I am pretty sure my love of the doll lead to my love of the name which is not becoming too popular...which I hate it was totally MY name ;)

i'll be honest, my molly doll sat on the shelf most of the time because i treasured her more than any other posession. so she's basically in mint condition!

My doll was Felicity. I'm pretty sure I have quite a bit of her books. Too bad I decided that I could use a real brush on her hair...she needs a makeover, bad. Did you know you can take them to the American Girl Doll place and they can have a makeover? Seriously.

Oh my, I loved my American Girl Doll! I had Samantha! Those dresses are so awesome. I am LOL right now. And Teething is NOT FUN at all! I feel your pain. Did you try the teething tablets?

Oh, Man I BEGGED my parents for an American Girl doll, and never got one. I remember just drooling over the catalog. I can't wait until McKenna is old enough to get one! And if she's not into that, then I may just have to fulfill my childhood dream and get one for myself. :)

so i wanted one of those dolls (the Kirsten one to be exact) for YEARS. finally when i was in 8th grade and kind of past the doll phase my mom got me one. then when i got married my husband accidently gave it to the DI (along with all my prom dresses and my bunny i slept with growing up) and it still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it....

My favorite was Kirsten. I didn't own any of the dolls but I have box sets of the books which I'm saving for my girls. How fun...

oh i'm supposed to say that it was completely by accident (which it was) because we had other boxes going to the DI at the time.... still hurts

You've hit the nail on the head! I have a pink & white pinstriped dress, and straw bonnet, tucked away in the back of my closet for family portraits this weekend. It will look smashing up against your yellow raincoat!

PS...I'm pretty sure Addy is in a box somewhere in my old bedroom. Perhaps it's time she came out of the closet? ;)

um addy IS in fact in her box in pristine condition, with her book in the box in your old bedroom. i got her out on sunday and secretly hoped that you would one day give her to me :)
