weeeekend.

most weekends we have a million things to do and fri-sun seem more stressful than the weekdays.

last weekend was wonderful.

i spent a few hours laughing and catching up with some friends.
we got all of our saturday chores done before noon.
we went up to the cabin to be with sean's extended family.
{the mountains were soooo green and beautiful!}
we had an awesome ward conference on sunday.
and a relaxing sunday evening at my parents house.

april third.

inSANE amounts of snow at the cabin. we woke up to another foot or so this morning. quite the adventure. and in april!
favorites from our g.c. weekend:

my girls were well-behaved. . . unlike last time!

kids slept better than at home.
staying up late to watch the patriot.

cabin.

we spent the weekend up at the cabin with some friends. it was a blast, as usual. perfect weather. lots of games. yummy food. we even played a game of SURVIVOR. here's a glimpse:

{i haven't been doing very well with the housework. this morning i dried off with a hand towel because there were no clean towels :) time for a laundry day, i guess!}

also:

serena BIT ME today. i was beyond upset about it. she had pulled the doorstop off of the bathroom door, so i took it away from her and picked her up to take her out of the bathroom. she was not happy about it and just sunk those teeth right into my cheek and wouldn't let go. after i sternly told her "NO" and "NO BITING" several times, i put her in her crib in "time out" and then shut the door and cried. it hurt my cheek, but mostly it hurt my feelings :( i don't want her to grow up and be a sassy toddler and do naughty things!

please don't let her be a biter.

serena goes sledding.

our weekend was so much fun! good friends. good food. lots and lots of laughter. late nights. {no sleep!} and serena went sledding for her very first time. i couldn't really tell if she liked it, but she didn't hate it!

the best part about sledding at the cabin is having someone on a four-wheeler come drag you back to the top of the hill :) i actually wanted to go down more than once!

ten days of gratitude.

day one: my family ♥

we had so much fun up at the cabin with my family. wednesday was the only day that everyone could be there together and it was a blast. the women learned how to knit & crochet hats {which we are sporting in the picture} and the men went 4 wheeling, played pool, etc. we made a huge breakfast, lounged around, did some jigsaw puzzles, and enjoyed being together. i am so grateful for wonderful parents and three beautiful sisters. can't wait till one of my sisters produces a cousin for serena :)

we've been enjoying a week up at the cabin. this morning we woke up to some snow {finally!}.

cabin + snow + hot chocolate = a very lucky friday the 13th for us!

oh, to be a baby.

we went up to the cabin again today. little miss serena sat on my lap for 30+ minutes, watching the trees blowing in the wind. i always wonder what goes on in that little mind. i can't wait until she can start telling me all about it :)

cabin.

this cabin has been so much fun for us. lots of fun weekends and great memories. we went up this weekend with the newlyweds and it was a blast!

highlights:

don pedros on the way up. it was delicious, as usual.

played lots of wii. i won american idol and sucked it up at everything else. i love lego star wars... even if i'm terrible.

serena slept like an angel.

laziness all morning.

4-wheeling {well i didn't, but everyone else did}.
