the gloves come off.

because i miss these sweet little hands! serena has been constantly wearing those little mittens so she doesn't scratch herself. but today i decided that i don't get to see enough of her dimply little hands. it's been worth a few scratches to have her grab onto my shirt or necklace while i'm holding her. so sweet! i'm so in love with this girl! {even when she's on day six of no pooping and is fussing constantly.}

Have you tried prune juice? I used to put a little in kaylee's bottle when she was serena's age and ot worked like a charm.

i probably already told you this but i always think newborns are well... not so cute, however, when i saw and see pictures of serena i think that she is like the model of what newborns should look like. so cute! ps. give me your address if you'd like an announcement/invitation for my wedding & reception. miken1818@yahoo.com

Hey Ariel- we just had this same problem with Peyt- Our pediatrician told me to get a cutip with some Ky Jelly on it and stick it up "there" about 1/2 inch and it triggers her bowel to come out...very quickly- we had to do this the first month- they tell you not to go more than 2 days without a movement- anyways- that was the only thing that would work. Oh- and you don't have to post this...too gross!!

whatever stephanie, i'm posting your comment! we might help some other mommy if she reads this :)

my dr told us to do the q-tip trick but it didn't work for this girl. we ended up giving her a suppository and that did the trick. i do plan to keep trying the q-tip before i resort to the suppository, though.
